Dr. Daniel Zillwood, BDS (U.Bris) MSc (Endodontics)
GDC : 75870
I qualified from Bristol University in 1999 with Gary and worked in Gosport, Hampshire until I moved to Exeter in 2004. I completed the certificate in endodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and started taking referrals for root fillings from several dental practices in the Devon area.
I have recently completed a Masters Degree in Endodontics (MSc) from Warwick University with distinction. This was a part time course over 3 years which enabled me to gain further knowledge, experience and qualifications whilst still able to work in a full time capacity at the practice.
Over the last few years my referral base for endodontics has increased and I now receive requests from dentists to carry out all aspects of dentistry relating to root canal treatment and restorative work in the capacity of a dentist with a special interest in endodontics.
I am also a keen committee member of the Exeter and District Branch of the British Dental Association and have recently been Chairman for 2013-2014.
I aim to develop a good relationship with all of my patients to help provide treatment to the highest standards in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. I have found that as the relationship improves, patients are much more open about asking questions to develop their own knowledge about dental health and to understand the importance of preventative care. Good communication is the key to give them the confidence and opportunities to ask any questions relating to any proposed treatment.
I have been registered with the General Dental Council at 37 Wimpole Street London, W1G 8DQ since 1999 (Registration Number: 75870). I adhere strongly to the rules governing the profession outlines in the General Dental Council's guidance - Standards for Dental Professionals. www.gdc-uk.org
